This Clinical History Taking and Physical Examination Skills course will equip students with all the theoretical and practical skills required to safely and competently take a detailed clinical history and physical examination of a patient, covering basic conditions and differential diagnoses.
It is most popular with clinical practitioners from nurses, A&E clinicians, Paramedics and ambulance staff, Offshore Medics and community clinicians.

This Clinical History Taking and Physical Examination course covers the following topics:
Taking a clinical history and documentation using Calgary - Cambridge Framework
Record keeping and confidentiality
Respiratory Examination and Assessment:
- Chest Sounds (practical)
- Percussion and auscultation
- Peak Flow
- Assessment of symptoms and associated conditions
Cardiovascular Examination and Assessment:
- Heart Sounds (practical)
- Assessment of symptoms and associated conditions
- Chest Pain assessment
Abdominal Examination and Assessment:
- Palpation
- Bowel Sounds
- Urinary assessment
- common conditions including life threatening
Neurological Examination and Assessment
ENT and Skin
Certification
Although there is no formal assessment students will be monitored throughout the course by our tutors and a certificate will be awarded upon completion
Pre-Course Requirements
Students need to be registered practitioners including paramedics, nurses, medics or have relevant experience before commencing this course
Location
At our training site in Stokesley, North Yorkshire which is in North East England.
