PLACEMENTS - Many of our students are in full-time employment and it is often difficult to get a large block of time to complete this course. This is why we have adapted our delivery to suit your needs. Once you have completed the initial 2 week classroom section you have 6 months to complete the 60 hours placement section after which you return your placement booklet and we issue you your certificate.

Duration

The initial HSE Offshore Medic Course is a four week modular programme (60 hours taught and 60 hours placement). This allows our students to complete the course in four consecutive weeks or four individual weeks over a 12 month period. The first and second weeks are classroom based theory and practical, the remaining two weeks are placements. Placements are arranged either by the student if they are already in a clincial setting (subject to approval) or by Medipro.
They consist of various practice areas which are A&E ambulance trust, A&E department and primary health care. All placements are arranged in the local area.

Due to the arrangements locally with Falck Nutec and the hospitals, we can, with lots of notice, arrange the whole course (including 10 hour placements) and your BOSIET/MIST and GP medical in the 4 week slot....
