MIMMS - Major Incident Medical Management and Support 3 days
Description
The Major Incident Medical Management & Support (MIMMS) course is developed in conjunction with and approved by the Advanced Life Support Group (approval code MIDL) and offers students the knowledge and skills to initially manage a major incident. It is specifically designed for medical personnel who may need to manage any major emergency from ambulance personnel, nurses, medical centres, offshore medics, MOD medics and volunteer services.
This programme give a much greater understanding of incident management and control & command.
This approved course from the ALSG attracts CPD points for registered professionals including doctors.

Syllabus
The MIMMS course content includes:
Incidents in context
Health and Emergency Services
Communications including radio procedures
Personal and medical equipment
Command and control
Table top exercises
Treatment including the dead
Transport
Triage
Debrief
Certification
After successful completion of a multi-choice question paper, triage, radio procedure and moulage exercises a certificate will be awarded valid for 4 years
Pre-Course Requirements
Students need to be from a medical background (e.g. paramedic, doctor etc)
There is an online assessment to complete via the ALSG website prior to commencing this course.
Location
At our training site which is situated in Stokesley, North Yorkshire in the North East of England
