Pre-Hospital Thrombolysis
Description
This Pre-Hospital Thrombolysis course has been developed in accordance with national targets in mind. It is aimed at clinicians who may encounter a STMEI patient with extended journey times or who are not within a catchment areas of PPCI. Typical students include paramedics, nurses and offshore medics.

Syllabus
The Pre-Hospital Thrombolysis course will cover the following suggested topics:
Taking a clinical history and differential diagnosis
ECG interpretation
Pathophysiology and presentation of acute coronary syndromes
The history of thrombolysis and the various agents
Indications and contra indications
Case studies
JRCALC and working within a PGD
Certification
After successful completion of a written and case studies, students will be awarded a certificate. It is recommended that students should complete this course every 3 years to maintain knowledge and skills
Pre-Course Requirements
Students must be a registered clinician or have extensive experience
Location
At our training site in Stokesley, North Yorkshire which is in North East England.
