Description
This course has been designed specifically for individuals working in both hostile and close protection situations. With quick entry and exit methods and life sustaining skills this is the ideal programme to enable each student to effectively manage any critically injuries or ill patient.
We will guide the student through the necessary equipment, planning and delivery of clinical skills. Utilising real life scenarios and moulage techniques.
We are committed to providing quality educational programmes utilising the latest evidence based practice. This course has been approved by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh as well as through OCN Credit for Learning level 3. This not only gives students a nationally recognised course but with university credits. It is also ELCAS approved for MOD personnel.

The Tactical and Close Protection Critical care Training course is very comprehensive and coveres the following topics:
Kinematics of trauma
Primary and secondary survey
Airway management
Shock including catastrophic haemorrhage and fluid resuscitation
Quick clot agents and tourniquets
Elderly and paediatric trauma
IO access
Thoracic trauma
Abdominal and pelvic trauma
Needle thoracocentesis and asherman seals
Burns and Drowning
Triage and major incident management
Spinal and musculo-skeletal trauma
Head injury and trauma
Barotrauma and decompression injury
Splinting including pelvic, traction
Spinal collars, boards, scoops and KED
Extremes of body temperature
RTC and HAZMAT awareness
The traumatic cardiopulmonary arrest and AED
Trauma in Pregnancy
Medical Emergencies
Environmental considerations and assisting the tactical advisor
Patient assessment skills
Documentation and recording
Snatch Techniques

Certification
After successfully completing both written and practical assessments a certificate will be awarded from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and OCN Credit for Learning Level 3 certificate.
Pre-Course Requirements
Students will need to have completed an IHCD First Person on Scene (Intermediate) within the last 2 years

At our training site in Stokesley, North Yorkshire which is in North East England
